Patti Stauffer Appointed Executive Director of APPE
Patricia (Patti) A. Stauffer, MS has been appointed Executive Director of the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics (APPE). In addition to her role as Executive Director for APPE, Stauffer will also serve as The Robert and Carolyn Frederick Distinguishing Visiting Professor of Ethics.
Stauffer brings 25 years of leadership in the non-profit sector, most recently serving as vice president for policy, strategy, and compliance for a multi-state, non-profit health care provider.
Gretchen Winter, chair of APPE’s governing board said, “The APPE Executive Board is thrilled to have Patti join our team. As applied and professional ethics issues fill our news feeds each day, Patti will provide the strong leadership necessary to ensure that APPE’s work and purpose are broadly relevant and meaningful.”
Stauffer’s talents will also shine in her role as the new Frederick Scholar at the Prindle Institute for Ethics. “Stauffer brings a deep knowledge about policy development and data driven approaches to crafting policy,” said Prindle Institute director Andrew Cullison, “Her insights will be of enormous value to DePauw students who are interested in best practices for speaking to government officials and stakeholders about creating the kind of change they want to see in the world.”
