We support IRB at DePauw.
The DePauw University Institutional Review Board (IRB) has the responsibility to review and evaluate for approval any proposed research that involves human subjects and that is conducted by agents of DePauw University. The Prindle Institute for Ethics is pleased to provide administrative personnel and funding for IRB work, including mandatory training for DePauw researchers. Please reach out the Prindle Institute’s Scientific Research Coordinator Ted Bitner (tedbitner@depauw.edu) with any questions.
More Information and Important Links
All DePauw researchers must complete educational training in research ethics before submitting proposals to the IRB; in so doing, the IRB helps to ensure that the responsibilities outlined in the guidelines are met for the benefit of human subjects.
The IRB is under the authority of Federal government agencies that safeguard these protections for all research projects emanating from DePauw.
