When Truth Mattered with Bob Giles
The Pulliam Center for Contemporary Media and the Prindle Institute for Ethics are teaming up to provide a four-part election discussion series for high school students and DePauw students. Tonight’s Zoom meeting is the third in the series and features a discussion led by Pulitzer Prize-recipient Bob Giles (DePauw ’55). Fill out the form below to receive the Zoom invitation.
Bob Giles is the former managing editor of the Akron-Beacon Journal, and received the Pulitzer Prize for his work covering the Kent State Massacre in which the National Guard shot and killed four college students who were peacefully protesting. His book, When Truth Mattered recounts the story of the journalists who covered the Kent State shootings.
We discuss important issues like state violence and more each Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. ET. Any current college or high school student, educator, or parent is invited to join a Zoom discussion moderated by Andy Cullison, director of the Prindle Institute for Ethics and host of the popular podcast Getting Ethics to Work.
