Spring 2024 Course Offerings Now Available

For Spring 2025, the Prindle Institute’s instructional faculty will offer a diverse array of engaging courses that delve into various philosophical themes and ethical issues. “Philosophy for Children,” taught by Alex Richardson, invites students to explore philosophical discussions tailored for young minds, with hands-on workshops at a local intermediate school. Jeff Dunn’s “The Ethics Project” centers on a semester-long initiative where students conceive and execute projects aimed at adding value to their communities, supported by Prindle Institute funding and guided by ethical theory instruction. David Holiday will teach two courses: “Forgiveness and Revenge,” examining moral responses to injustice through the work of thinkers classic and contemporary, and “Ethical Perspectives for Leadership,” which addresses the ethical challenges inherent in leadership roles and decision-making. Finally, Tucker Sechrest’s “Ethics in Business” will investigate the intersection of market dynamics, social equity, and legal frameworks, incorporating case studies and political philosophy. Together, these courses offer a rich opportunity for students to engage with pressing ethical questions in various contexts, fostering critical thinking and the practical application of philosophical concepts.
